Feldenkrais, Southampton, injury

Created by Moshe Feldenkrais, who was unable to walk after suffering a serious knee injury and who refused surgery. He began exploring the relationship that connects learning with human health and function by engaging the brain and nervous system back to wellbeing.

Feldenkrais makes changes at the source of movement, the nervous system, which helps to overcome limitations caused by injury, stress, illness or old movement habits.

The movements tie directly into our functional movements of daily life, improving walking efficiency, lifting objects safely, and improving posture in sitting and walking.

There are 2 ways to experience the work: either in group classes or in private sessions.
